Some B-day pics

Here are a few pics that were taken at my birthday. She took won't be seeing all of them. They show a little bit of Noah' Hawaiian "pretend" Hawaiian dancers...etc. It was a great party.

Pioneer Day, July 24 Celebration Parade

Since Kristy and the kids were up, we decided to go into SLC for the big parade. We got there 1 hr. before it started and ended up 1/2 block from the t.v. cameras on the front row IN THE SHADE!!! Oh yeah!

The kids had enthusiasm at the beginning and then it started to was a nice parade. We went to Jay and Brie/Kelli and John's place afterwards for a BBQ, then went home for Boyack fireworks! Great day!!!

Family Activities

My brother and sister-in-law came up for a couple of days. We took them on the quads to different lakes and had a great time.

Kristy and the kids are up for a couple weeks. Andrew made breakfast for us this morning. He learned from his mom and Scout Camp. Mary woke up, came up the stairs, didn't see anyone and started yelling....I bolted out of bed and came running into the living room to see her standing there screaming...6:20 a.m. I picked her up and she finished her sleeping time in my bed.

Kim has a disc of pics from the party. I'll try and get some onto the blog when I see it.

The kids and us are going to the Oquirrah Temple Open House this afternoon (if papa gets back from pouring cement for a neighbor).

I'm overwhelmed with the thoughtfulness of my husband, kids, family members and friends that came to an unbelievable party last night!!!

I was taken to Noah's in So. Jordan, and upstairs was a Hawaiian themed party complete with flowers, food, Hawaiian dancers, friends from elementary school, friends from California, friends from the Bishop's Storehouse, friends from the ward...I was speechless.

My hubby and kids did a great job.....everyone came up to us and said what a great party it was and they had never had so much fun. The men got to do a New Zealand war dance...pretty cool (and I think they liked it!). The women got to "toss a fruit salad" and do the "box"...(I took Motrin when I woke up this morning from "the box" move).

The grandkids had a great time. They showed us how much energy they had by constantly dancing and doing some cute "line dances"...tons of talent and showmanship.

Having friends and family are the most important thing we have on this earth. I'm very blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life. Thank you so much.

Where'd the "6" come from????

I have officially hit the "6" birthday! It sounds sooooo old, but I don't feel it...well, maybe when I first get up out of bed.....or when I've been weeding for 2 hours...okay, so I do feel it sometimes.

My brother and sister-in-law from California showed up last night. He's never come up to my place, so we decided that would come to a halt and we will visit more often. They have a new granddaughter coming in about a week and a half, so Maria's a little nervous. I told her the airport is about 1/2 hour away. The girls are taking me out to lunch and we have a family dinner tonight. I have a Happy Birthday sign on my front lawn that was placed there this morning by the Birthday Fairy. I'll let you know how my "6" birthday goes....HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALL YOU "6" PEOPLE!

This is the "catch-up" part of the blog. We've had some of the granddaughters overnight because school is out. They had fun in the spa (which was cooled down for the occasion). We watched movies, colored, played outside...ya know...girl stuff! Kim came over to stay while Dan was at Girls' Camp. She had a 911 incident a couple of days before and decided it best to be here.

We celebrated 4th of July with a neighborhood parade in the morning followed by breakfast at our neighbors. This was the 2nd Annual Sunset Hills Drive Parade! Allie and Paige stayed the night so they could attend. We then went to Jay and Kelli's for a BBQ followed by fireworks in Thanksgiving Point. We drove all over the place looking for fireworks and ended up back home...but they were pretty.

We also went on a quad trip to Soldier Summit with friends. BEAUTIFUL!!! It was a perfect day and we all had a great time. There are so many gorgeous places around here.

My activity day girls came over for a 12 station obstacle course. A lot of them were out of town or had previous they had fun anyway. Afterwards, Chuck and I took off to St.George w/friends to see the play, "Footloose". My gosh they have energy! It was warm, they were under lights and dancing to beat the band! It was great. We then did the sightseeing thing and went to the St.George Temple for sealings for Carolyn's family. We had a great time.
