We're Back!

Most of you probably didn't even know we were gone!! We had beautiful weather, saw green grass, and collected sea shells while the water ran over my toes. Loved it!

We went to Dana Point for a late lunch (I actually ate Halibut!). The harbor was beautiful. We checked out Mission Viejo to get our iPod Touch and computer to actually like each they do. We thought we were going to go to the San Diego Zoo...but not for $37 a piece. Driving around, we saw the USS Midway and stopped. We were there for over 4 hours. It was very interesting and I couldn't believe how many stairs we climbed up and down on that ship! How in the world they figured out where they were was beyond me. Dad said it's all encrypted on doors, you just have to know the language!

We walked to the harbor a couple of times, since it was soooo close to the timeshare and saw a couple of beautiful sunsets over the ocean. There have to be thousands of dogs that go on walks along the beaches. Almost everyone had a dog on a leash. We walked out on a pier and took pics next to the local pelicans...everything was fine until Chuck got to close and Mr. Pelican tried to bite him!

Dad and I braved the pool Thursday morning. It wasn't the warmest, but I was okay as long as I was submerged! We will definitely be back. The resort is centrally located to a lot of places. Pics will be forthcoming (as soon as I remember where I packed the camera!). Good to be home!

Vay Cay!

We just arrived in Oceanside. Did you know they have green grass, blue sky and 62 degrees? We're less than a mile from the harbor and cute little restaurants. We can step out on to the balcony and look at the harbor and ocean. Tomorrow we go exploring. Spoke with Kim and she was at the hospital w/Hayley getting a cat scan. Every time we leave, either her or one of the girls goes to the hospital! I told her bubble wrap might be the answer.

We'll take pics and post.

Tribute to Erma

Chuck's Aunt Erma passed away yesterday at 10:00 in the morning. She had fallen about a month ago and had bleeding on the brain. She just never got better. We found out this morning the funeral will be the 16th in Arco. That's also the day our little Emily is going to be baptized. Chuck will go to the funeral and I'll stay for the baptism. Cousin Lori will also be going to the funeral.

We're glad we had the opportunity of seeing Erma last winter and both sharing pics of family. I showed her slides of the family from forever ago and she was happy to see them. Our thoughts go out to Linda and her family at this time.

Happy 2010!

Wow...that looks really strange! Doesn't even look real. Hopefully, 2010 will be better than 2009.

Chuck is starting out the year by leaving the snow for awhile with a friend who also hates snow. I will hold the fort down here while they play. He doesn't do well with the cold...kind of a stupid reason for moving to a "snow" state, don't ya think!

We'll see how my snow skills are with the next storm! He needs to get away (although he just got back from CA. with another friend)...maybe he will appreciate his home...maybe not.
